Penghu National Scenic Area - Penghu Visitor Center

About

Landing in Penghu, your first stop should be the Penghu National Scenic Area Visitor Center, just outside Magong. It’s a modern, well-organized hub that gives you the lay of the land—literally. With interactive maps, exhibits on the islands’ unique basalt geology, and details on everything from turtle nesting sites to local fishing traditions, it’s the perfect place to plan your island-hopping adventure. The staff are friendly and speak English, and there’s a small gift shop for souvenirs. More importantly, the center is fully accessible, making it easy for everyone to get oriented. Grab a brochure, watch the short film, and then head out to explore the windswept beaches and historic villages that make Penghu so special.
